Uh Oh! It's the April Fools Edition of What's New?
Good morning y'all. Don't you let anyone fool you today.
Now, this is not an April Fools joke. I am actually taping Oprah today. It is a show on weight loss. Star Jones (WLS Surgery), Valerie Bertinelli (Jenny Craig) and Marie Osmond (Nutrisystems). I want to see if Oprah has the nerve to bash Star in front of her. She is always so negative about WLS, I wonder if she will change her tune today.
Tonight will be my last night of the week on the full time job. They gave me off Thursday and then our team is going out to eat together on Friday (we get paid for it, plus they pay for the meal). We have a limit of $25 per person, so we are going to Dave and Busters to have a good time. We are supposed to go back to work for 4 hours after that, but I put in for 4 hours vacation instead.
Chat away folks. Let us know if anyone tries to pull anything on you.

nothing really "new" since i posted late last nite...
trying to figure out how to deter rabbits from eating my lilac bushes again this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!last year; they munched down 4 of the 5 shoots-this year they have already completely munched 1 and part of a 2nd...michael will put some wire around them today- i wish i had hair to cut! he isn't happy when i said i would cut his!!!!
the jerk will be at work today- 3 days left....if he shows....
i have to dig in my recipe box for a choc frosting...i'm making the choc mayo cake for one of the gal's birthday friday( she made my cake even tho i wasn't there to eat it!)

Please let us know what happens on Oprah. I like her, don'****ch her show, and wouldn't have time to watch it if I taped this episode. I will be curious to hear what she says about all of them.
Dave and Buster's sounds like a lot of fun, and not having to go back to work is a +++!
Been busy at work and home. Started to post yesterday morning and my computer was beeing stupid. Must have been a very heavy load on the internet 'cause Gary's computer was very slow as well. So, I just couldn't wait and had to get moving for work. He's working late tonight (so am I, but not as late) so hopefully I'll get back to check in this evening.
Saturday we went to a couple of estate sales and I picked up some vintage Barbie dolls, in the boxes, never opened. Paid $6 each for them, and expect them to sell for $20-40 each on e-bay. WhOOO! That should be a fun thing to watch!
Hope everyone has a dandy day. Beautiful day expected here, not so much tomorrow, so I'm hoping to have a few minutes to sit outside and read for a few minutes during my work day.

Still snowing here in MN...we got 7 inches yesterday and another 2 over night. They say it is Spring?????
My cold is hanging on although I am breathing easier today. Hope I feel better by the weekend.
I spoke with my sister yesterday. Thank you all for the good wishes and prayers. The doctor told her they are sure they got all the cancer. Marn will be starting radiation treatments soon. She sounded tired but seems to be doing good.
We are still working on trying to get Kyleigh into a residential facility not far from her home.It is a Girls Ranch. She wants to go as she knows she needs the help. Kyleigh wants to get better. That is half the battle.Bless her heart!
As for the other grands all is more or less okay. Kyleigh's sister Amanda and brother Lucas are down in Iowa with Nic (grandson) and everyone. It is their spring break and we decided they needed to get away and have some fun.I spoke with all of them yesterday...they were having a great time!!
I don't have anything but a few hours of work planned for today. I want to get plenty of rest and get over this MN crud!!

Good morning ya'll. I have Oprah set to record, but will try to remember to watch it in the living room (you never know what's gonna happen around here when school is out). The DVR is in the family room, so I have to watch recorded shows in there. My DH is not fond of Oprah, and his computer is in there. He may have to bite the bullet and listen to it.
I should finish the baby blankie today. Then I just have to do the trim and get everything perfect on the entire layette to mail off to my daughter for her friend's baby shower. I KNOW I should have a set in each color available so when she calls with just 2 weeks notice I'll have something to send immediately. But I don't plan ahead any better than she does!!
Thunderstorms will be back today. Then again on Friday and next Monday. I SWEAR we get more rain here in NC than we did when we lived in Oregon!

LOL anyhow guess what!! i am going to the captains second opener game next thursday!!!! i have to work til 9 wednesday night so i can't go to that one...oh well next night will be ok....then saturday night they have the fireworks and i will watch them from my balcony!!!!
cleveland's rock n roll hall of fame is havin the "BOSS" bruce springsteen on exhibit starting today....i have almost every album/cassette/cd he has out except for the newer one...just not into him like before. but i am happy he was inducted into the hall of fame here!!
well it was raining here this morning but it is clearing up now. temp went from 60 to 43 and not sure if it will warm up again or not...connie you keep that yucky white stuff away from ohio!!! LOL
yesterday rick was talking to the cleaning crew about this apartment that is on the lower level here in our building...he wanted to know if it was the same rent as what we are paying...nope its $40.00 more a month for the lower level....crap!!! it would be soooo much easier for us with the lower level to let bandit outside so we didn't have to go out all the time with him...oh well i really don't want the hassle of moving again even if its just downstairs.....so we will keep on keeping on.
work yesterday was not busy at all!!! seems nobody wanted to eat out. sold alot of soda and water tho. well i did sell some food but not alot for a tuesday. oh well it will be busy this weekend i am sure of it. got next weeks schedule and i am working 38 1/2 hours again so that is a good thing. only bad thing is i get so bored when it is slow. and nope i can't bring a book to read either...sighs.....
well not much else happening here so off to shower and go pay the car insurance and then the cafe to see ricks mom. she is having a breakfast tomorrow for the plant there and might need some help from us to get ready for it.

Good Morning George and all you wonderful people!
Today's a research day for me. I'm helping out my DIL with some research. First a trip to the library, then one city hall, and then a trip downtown Detroit to the city county building for some probate records.
Then I'm off to the cemetery to take some more photos. Lots of email to catch up on when I get home and then hopefully a good walk!
I spent hours yesterday backing up my data and images just in case the conficker viru**** my computer. Chances are it wouldn't, but I couldn't take a chance with all my files and images on it for the book.
Anyone have any good pranks for today?

Well I woke up 4 pounds lighter this morning!!!!! I don't know what is up with that but I think the Thyroid medicine has finnaly caught up with itself. So now I have taken off 14 pounds of the 20 I gained.
Today we are going to go to the flea Market and out for most of the day. Not sure where we are going to go. All I know is the car is full and the day is young!!!!!

I went out with Trudy to Wal Mart last night and I turned down the aisle for the picture frames (I wanted to get one for Kayden's picture but couldn't find just what I wanted) and passed a man in the aisle and he said something stupid to me for a greeting and when I said hello to him I stopped......it was the same man that hit on me several weeks ago....he remembered me! I turned and when looking at the frames. I kind of walked on down the aisle still looking at the frames and he was standing there waiting for something and I just ignored him. He finally left but boy was I still paranoid all the while I was in there. I just wish that I wouldn't see him anymore. I am never sure just what he looks like but I am going to have to start remembering. I guess what bothers me the most is that he remembered me and I didn't remember him.
Nothing much going on here today. I am needing to go to the library today. I was going to go the other day and didn't get there. I have to go today since the books are due. It gives me another excuse to go and look for some more too. Otherwise I would just drop them in the drop box but I just have to get some more.
Both Bill and I are feeling better. I guess I must not have strep since the doctors office didn't call. I really didn't think that I did. My throat isn't hurting as bad as it was so the anti biotic must be working. Bill isn't feeling as bad either. So what he is doing must be working too. I know that stuff can go away and stay put. It is terrible.
Baby Kayden is still safe and sound in his temporary home. The doctor was happy with how things are going. He is between 6 and 7 pounds now and so if there is nothing happening by the 15th the doctor is going to induce labor then. The ultrasound says that he weighs 6 pounds 14 ounces but they are not really reliable with the weight. So that is why they are saying that he is between 6 and 7 pounds. Bill is just working on going nuts now. I guess the fact that he is going to be a Grandpa is now hitting him. He always has been one to not get excited about something until it comes down to the wire. And I guess we are down to the wire on Kayden now. OMG...I am so excited I can't stand it......but then we knew that and have known that since I found about him.
Today is my great niece's birthday. It is hard to believe that she is 11 today. It just seems like yesterday that we were up at the hospital waiting for her grand appearance which was 1 month early. She weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces and was just a tiny little bundle. But boy did she have big feet. She was in the nursery right across from Autumn's room and people would stop and see her and they would say....she was so tiny but boy look at her feet! She started out looking like her mom and now she is just like her dad. He is tall and skinny and so is Brittany.......she is just a bean pole that is almost as tall as I am now. She always says "Aunt Brenda, I am almost as tall as you are." and I always tell her "I know and you don't have to rub it in either!" She has such a laugh out of that. She is a sweetie and that is not just because she is my great niece either. She is a loving girl but boy oh boy can she be a handful too. But then again what kid isn't one now and them?
